you can also get free tickets to London tv shows

Yes I have done past blog post about my London trips, but this post will focus on my last trip in November. Honestly London is an expensive city, but there are many free things to do. Normally I try to travel in the off peak season.  When others say how expensive hotels are in London I must nod my head in agreement. I would also agree that eating is expensive in London, but you can eat on the cheap. Yet another expense can be getting around London. While all the aforementioned is true you can travel, and not break your budget.

First step is to find out when you want to travel. Second step in your trip planning is to book the airfare & hotel. Check the major booking sites such as Expedia(my favorite), Orbitz, Priceline, etc. Trivago & Kayak are also good sites. Having said that I try to book a package deal that includes breakfast. Now if you eat enough breakfast at your hotel you may not need much of a lunch. Do your homework before booking, and know the area you want to stay. Many people make the mistake of thinking that stay away from the city center will save, but you wont. Staying far from the city itself you shall loose more sightseeing time, and spend more on the subway(tube). When looking at hotels check sites such as tripadvisor  & check out hotel guests photos.. Guests photos will more closely express the true room you shall get. Having said that take the written reviews with caution. Some guests can’t be made happy no matter what the staff does. Few hotels I have stayed at, and like were K&K Hotel George & The Rembrandt. Last November stayed at the K& K George it’s very close to the station, and staff is friendly.

London has so many things to see, and do, but some events can come with a heavy price tag. I love to attend a tapping of a free television show. Sites such as http://www.applausestore.com/home or http://sroaudiences.com/ you do need to sign up, but it’s free, quick & easy. Last November I attended a  tapping of,”Loose Women” a talk show like, “The View.” Attended one other show, but can’t recall the name. It’s fun to watch the process of a live show filming. I would suggest looking on youtube for clips of the show to see if it’s a show you would enjoy.

Eating in London can be brutally expensive. When I am trying to save might buy a salad or something to eat at a supermarket or even subway sandwich, and eat it at the park. Now many places to eat have a special reduced lunch time meal. Other value places to eat are Pret A Manger in London or Tiffinbites(fast indian food.) Just keep your eyes open, and good deals can be found on food.

London’s tube system is expensive, but it gets you around quickly. A good way to save is to buy a travel card. Buying tickets as you go will get very expensive. Yet another option is the Oyster card, but for many it’s confusing on how to use the card. Don’t be afraid of London’s tube system in a day or so you will get around like a local. Oh, and mind the gap… Sorry had to do that.

Many of London’s museums are for free. Museums such as, “Churchill War Rooms are not free”, and I would suggest investing in a London pass card. Yes some fuss about the price, but it gets you pass the lines at sites, and does save money in the end. Get your ticket here  http://www.londonpass.com/?aid=17&gclid=CLy61PC8pr0CFchZ7AodtUIAxQ  if you want to visit many of the sites that charge a fee it’s worth the price.

Well I have said enough in this blog, but stay tuned for another blog post on packing tips..

Chaz Dean’s Wen Spring Orange Blossom Review….

I have been a Wen user for maybe two years now. Personally I love the product line. If & when I do a review you will get my honest thought for better or worse. Yes this is a review of Chaz Dean’s Wen products. This review is for Chaz’s newest cleansing conditioner SPRING ORANGE BLOSSOM. Oh this scent is one of his special seasonal scents. When the Summer scent debuts…this scent will be gone.

It’s important to state that I paid for this 32oz cleansing conditioner & the 6oz replenishing treatment mist with my own money. Order it direct from Chaz’s site at http://chazdean.com/default.aspx go to the products section. The 320z cleansing conditioner was 72$ & the replenishing mist 6oz is 32$. Normally I buy most of my Wen items from QVC, but you can only buy the 32oz seasonal scents for Chaz’s site.

Yes I am a Wen guy! My hair is very thick, curly, & coarse. I understand some people say that it’s expensive, but you get what you pay for. The WEN line works for all types of hair regardless of race, gender, or texture. I use the entire line from the oils, cleansing conditioners, remoist, styling cream, and the mousse.

When searching on the internet it’s easy to find many very negative & positive reviews. I understand that many say it’s to expensive. Others say that it did nothing for their hair. Then you have WEN lovers like myself. Each person is welcome to his or her own thoughts. I will not put anyone down for how they feel. So please respect my thoughts & feelings.

As previously stated many say when is to expensive & did nothing for their hair. This could be because the user is not correctly using the WEN products. If you follow the steps below I feel you shall be a WEN convert.

This seasonal cleansing conditioner Spring Orange Blossom smells amazing. It really does smell like walking orange blossoms in the Spring. The scent is also refreshing & energizing. One aspect I love is that scents come from natural essential oils.
*** While in the shower use cool not hot water to rinse your hair. Try rinsing your hair for a minute or more. Now your hair has been rinsed. When using WEN remember to…Cleanse, rinse, cleanse & rinse again.

*** My hair is curly, thick & just to the top of my ears. For my first cleanse I use about eight pumps. With the pads of my fingers I slowly massage the WEN into my scalp in slow circular motions. Now add a dash of water, and continue working throughout your hair from roots to ends.

*** Now it’s time to rinse that first cleanse out. Don’t forget to use cool, and not hot water. Now it’s time to add eight more pumps, and work into hair with dash of water as you did before. Leave the WEN in as long you can for best results. As always use the cool water…not hot! So your done showering, but your not done yet. Add about a pea sized amount of the cleansing conditioner as a leave in treatment.

Keep in mind that you should NOT wash your hair everyday. True that shampoos & conditioners at drug stores are cheaper, but you won’t get the results you will with WEN. I no longer have an issue with dandruff or a dry itchy scalp. Just be open to the WEN process..

Nike + FuelBand SE a must have!

ImageImageImageI just recently got my new Nike + FuelBand Se. Have only been using it for about 2 weeks now, and I am loving it. On the Nike.com website the FuelBand Se is priced at 149$. Now there are many fitness bands & clips on the market, and prices range from 29$ up to 299$.  Before buying a fitness band or clip it would be wise to do your homework first.  After comparing & contrasting the many fitness bands on the market I decided on the Nike + FuelBand SE. It’s a good midrange price, and it’s within my budget.

The Nike + FuelBand Se works best with an IPhone 4 & higher as it can wireless synch via Bluetooth, but if you don’t have a IPhone or higher it’s no problem. Now you will have to transfer the data from your FuelBand to your computer with the USB cord that comes in the box.

I like that the FuelBand was so easy to set up.  Honestly you plug the FuelBand into the computer & will guide you through the process, and the quick start  guide explains the process. Before you start your exercising you press the button until it says start, press it again, and you shall see a countdown from 3, 2, 1 and start moving. Best thing is your Fuelband will remind you to move during your day. Here are my photos , and if you have any questions feel free to ask.
