#Exuviance Illumination Duo Kit Review

First off let me say that I did receive these products for free to share my thoughts. As I have said these were free products, but the thoughts in this blog are my own.

The Exuviance product line is new to me. Was very happy to find out that I was included in the product testing group. Exuviance Illumination Duo is a unique skin care kit. There is an Evening Restorative Complex, and a Vitamin C+ anti-aging booster. Unique is a great word to describe this product line. Have never used a product such as Exuviance Illumination Duo Kit. This kit is to be used at night just before going to bed. While you sleep your skin renews. These products help to amp up this process.

The above picture is of Exuviance's Illumination Duo.

The above picture is of Exuviance’s Illumination Duo.

Exuviance Illumination Duo Kit is easy to use! Before going to bed make sure your face has been washed, and fully dry. First pump a small amount of the Evening Restorative Complex into your hand. Next you will want to add your Vitamin C+ anti-aging booster. There are two ways of adding this booster either shake it out or use a half of the included scoop. Personally I like to use the scoop as it’s easier to control, and not waist any of this amazing product. Take your half scoop of the Vitamin C+ anti-aging booster and mix it into the Evening Restorative Complex. Gently smooth the mixture of your face, and neck. I would recommend working the mixture in with upwards strokes. Below I will tell you a bit more about the duo.

With this two piece kit your skin can be renewed, and look younger

With this two piece kit your skin can be renewed, and look younger

Evening Restorative Complex: This product is great for normal/combination skin. It has bee clinically proven to repair the signs of aging, texture, & skin tone. It’s not a heavy cream so I feel it quickly absorbs into my skin.

#Exuviance Illumination Duo

Vitamin C+ Anti-aging Booster: The product is in a powdered form. It’s formulated to restore firmness, smooth lines. While those are great benefits it also diminishes the look of age spots, and protects against future damage.

All of the ingredients are 100% active, and this is very rare in the skin care market. Many products have fillers such as water or colorings. Vitamins such as A, C, and E along with other botanicals help to fight the signs of aging.

I have only been using this product a short time, but let me share my thoughts, & experiences with the product. What I like is that it helps to simplify your nighttime skin care routine. Honestly I can be lazy, but it’s such an easy system to use. My skin can sometimes be on the sensitive side, and I did not experience any burning or irritation. Feel as if my skin looks fresher, and renewed. Think my skin looks clearer, and brighter also.

Have been using Exuviance Skin Illumination Duo Kit for a very short time, but I’m excited to see the full results in a months time. Yes I can share my experience with the product, but why not try it for yourself. Just click on the link for more information.

Thank you so much for reading my blog, and allowing me to share this product with you. Feel free to ask me questions about my experience with #Exuviance Illumination Duo. Just leave a comment, and I shall happily reply.

Ipsy Glam Bag for August 2014: My first Glam Bag.

Today I received my very first Ipsy Glam bag. This was the August 2014 Glam Bag. First let me say I did pay for this with my own money. The thoughts in this blog are my own.

Ipsy is a month beauty subscription service. Each month the subscriber will get five sample size beauty products, and a bag. It cost 10$ monthly, and you can cancel at any time. August 2014 theme is, “Beauty Schooled.” Love the cute white bag with the orange dots. Please see the photo below.

Ipsy's August Glam Bag

Ipsy’s August Glam Bag

While it was exciting to get my first Glam Bag I was slightly let down with the contents of my Glam Bag. I was hope that Glam Glow mud would have been in my bag. Let’s hope next month I shall get a better bag. Still 10$ is not a bad price. Now allow me to share the products I received.

Klorane Extra-gentle dry shampoo: I do love Klorane products. Have also used this dry shampoo in the past, and love it. Happy that I got this product. Like that the dry shampoo has light clean smell, and does not overpower. Sadly could tell that the product was half empty. Still it’s a highly effective product. Yes it can be used for cleansing your, but it can also build volume in thin hair.

Coastal Scents Eye Shadows: This truly is a sample sized product. The colors in the sampler are * Peach Fuzz, * Sea Spray, * Deep Viridian, * Sand Dune. The colors are very pretty, and it’s cute. Wished would have got another product, but it’s fine. Sorry I failed to take a photo of this product.

Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo Lip Conditioner: I have never heard of this product before. Have to say I really love this product. My lips were very dry, and gross feeling today, and it’s helping the condition of my lips. It also smells amazing. Love this product.
Jersey Shore Sun Mongongo lip treatment.

Manna Shear Glo Shimmer Lotion: This is yet another new product for myself. This product can be mixed in with foundation or worn alone to add radiance to your skin. It can give you a slight glow. This is a universal shade, and it’s lovely. Not really my type of product.
Mana Sheer Glo

Urban Decay 24/7 Velvet Glide-On Eye Pencil: I received the color Plushie a rich deep shade. I am a fan of Urban Decay, and so it was nice to receive this product. Not sure if this was a full sized product or not.

As I have said this was my first Glam Bag. Was I amazed with it? Honestly no, but looking forward to future bags, and shall share them with you all. If you would like your own Glam bag head over to and get your own bag. Thanks for reading, and stay blessed.

Valentia’s Even Glow Serum product review: My new go to serum.

I love skin care products! It’s fun to try new products, and see what works best for my skin. Most of us know what
a good skin care routine entails. A product that works well for myself may not work for another person. My skin care routine has a cleanser, serum, and a moisturizer.

Recently I was sent a new product to try. The product is Valentia’s Even Glow Serum.

This is a photo of Valentia's Even Glow Serum.

This is a photo of Valentia’s Even Glow Serum.

Why use a serum? Serums are formulated to be light & fast absorbing. A serum is formulated for a specific skin care issue. Valentia’s Even Glow Serum is formulated to help in these areas.

* Evens skin tone
* Boosts Collagen Production
* Reduces wrinkles & fine lines
* Quickly absorbs into skin

Truthfully I have been using Valentia’s Even Glow Serum a short time, and noticing amazing results. This serum has 20% Vitamin C. While vitamin C is important for your immune system it’s also important for skin health. Vitamin C has been proven to keep skin tight, and give a smooth even look to your skin. This serum is an antioxidant treatment for your skin. Antioxidants protect your skin from sun damage, and free radicals. Basically the antioxidants in Valentia’s Even Glow Serum protect your skin from the inside & out.

While all of the above are true let me share with you how I feel about the product. I am loving Valentia’s Even Glow Serum. While this shouldn’t be important it has this lovely light citrus scent to it. The scent of this serum takes me back to Italy’s Amalfi Coast, and walking under the lemon trees. I use this serum twice a day every day. My day starts & ends with using this serum. Personally I need bit more of the serum at night.

Valentia's Even Glow Serum

This serum is not greasy or sticky. Love that it fully absorbs into the skin. Make sure to lightly tap your skin with the tips of your finger. Keep patting your skin gently so the serum can go to work. I have experienced an even skin tone. Noticed that my skin has a glow to it also. While this serum is not formulated to minimize skin pores mine have gotten smaller. It’s very important to know that this serum is 98% natural based ingredients. This serum is very gentle to the skin!

With each passing morning I notice how amazing my skin looks. I look refreshed, and your skin glows. While using this product I did not experience any breakouts. It feels as if this serum was made specifically for my skin.

I would also recommend other males using this serum. If you want an effective, quick absorbing serum then Valentia’s Even Glow Serum is product you should try. Listen I am no esthetician, but this is an efficacious serum.

Project Runway S13 Ep3 Welcome to the future.

In a quick recap we saw last weeks challenge winner Amanda Valentine & last weeks eliminated designer Carrie Sleutskaya.

Now we are on to a new week & a new challenge. It’s early morning & the designers are discussing last weeks challenge. Angela was feeling upset over the results of last weeks challenge & her critic. Shawn was speaking about how disappointing it was to get so close to a challenge win only to have another designer win.

Back at the runway staging area the designers gather to learn about their new challenge. Above the runway are various covers of, “Marie Claire” magazine. Of course the designers are excited for a new challenge. Tim Gunn introduces Anne Fulenwider the Editor-In-Chief, “Marie Claire.”

This weeks challenge is the designers should be inspired by their past, but to create a look that appear in, “Marie Claire” 20 years in the future. Challenge should be a design viewed through their own design aesthetic. It will be a one day challenge, and the designers first trip to mood. Each designer will have a 200$ budget.

The 14 remaining designers have 30 minutes to sketch out their design ideas. Sandya feels lots of recycling of material will be involved in her design future. Mitchell’s concept is based around environment & it’s effect on fashion & life. Angela’s concept is based on reworking the restrictive nature of corporate America’s business attire. Emily’s concept was based on a previous design from the 90’s loosed based on the, ” Ewok Hooide.” Tim alerts the designers that design time is up & it’s off to Mood.

While at Mood Tim tells the designers they have a 200$ budget & 45 minutes to shop. The designers all scatter about Mood in the process of fabric selection. Amanda feels she has an advantage over the other designers having been to mood, and knowing the store layout. This chick is starting to annoy me. With only 1 minute remaining in the shopping process the designers are running around the store. With shopping time over all 14 designers & Tim head back to the workroom.

Back at the workroom the designers are shocked about photos of them dating back to 1994. Now the designers get to work in the construction process of their garments. Early on I am concerned about Alexander’s fabric selection. Possibly Alexander could have a hot mess on his hands. Still we shall find out later. It would appear that many of the designers have a similar design concept in mind.

Tim enters the workroom for his critic. First up is Sean. Sean feels his future is a future of minimalism. Tim feels Sean’s design could be, “very chic.” Next up is Angela. It’s Angela’s desire to revamp the corporate workers business suits. Tim looks concerned & slightly perplexed from his chat with Angela. Mitchell feels the future is a wet future. The camera pans to Mitchell’s design. Tim ask about fabric, and Mitchell remarks he’s using neoprene. Tim feels that Mitchell’s design looks slightly messy, and that the bubble skirt looks to much like a skating costume. Tim checks in with the other designers, and then it’s time for some commercials.

Finally it’s time for the runway show. This weeks guests judges are Amanda de Cadenet & Anne Fuelnwider. Finally the show begins there are my feelings about each designers creation.
Alexander: This design is sad & ugly. If this is his idea of the future will let me stay in 2014; because Alexander’s future is depressing & ugly. Design could have been saved by making a pencil skirt with that fabric with leather strap inserts.

Amanda: Sorry to say it, but this design was an epic fail. Bellbottom pants could possibly work in the future if they are smartly made & designed. Amanda’s entire look was not focused & it did not flatter the models figure. Maybe Amanda was to confident.

Angela: Once again Angela has failed herself. While the concept was a good concept she failed in some construction aspects. This design was slightly on the bland side & lacked excitement.

Char: Liked her design, but it was not inspiring. The pants looked well made, but the top had to much extra fabric. Char’s top had a cumbersome feel to it.

Emily: Think Emily did an amazing job this week. Feel that her design had an edge to it without looking cliché. Loved the entire look, and that hoody gave her design an edge. Luckily Emily had an amazing model that really brought her design to life. Feel that Emily wisely choose the correct accessories.

Fade: Think his design had a sporty feel to it. In some ways it had a slight future like uniform feeling. In some ways it reminds me of something from the Missoni brand.

Hernan: While I thought his design was sexy & young felt he heavily referenced Versace’s bondage dresses from the 1990’s. Yes it is possible to reference another designer, but make the design your own interpretation. Please see a photo of Versace’s & Hernan’s design to compare.

Kini: Loved Kini’s design. Wow he made three pieces of clothing in one day. kini’s design was cool, chic & very wearable. Fell that his design would be cool today as well as 20 years from now. Kini did an amazing job this week.

Korina: Oh lord this was just awful. Looks like something Bea Arthur would have worn when she was 39 years old. It was nothing special. BORING!

Kristine: That jacket was just ugly. It reminded me of something from the mid 1990’s that was referencing the 1970’s. The dress was another story it was cute, but that jacket ruined the overall look.

Mitchell: While I like the concept of his design think his sewing skills failed him. It’s a very difficult design to wear. Was it awful? No! Had he had more time think it could have been much better. Do think his model hair & makeup help to add to the look.

Samantha: Very cute design, and it reminds me of clothing made for a high school girl. Had a very junior girls department vibe to it. Still it was cute, fun, flirty without being trashy.

Sandhya: I loved her design. Felt that many of Sandhy’s designs are very conceptual and forward thinking. Very creative & fun design she used color & played with texture. It was a fun design & it was her idea of the future. Many designers have wild runways shows, but of course what shows up in a stores sales floor is a scaled down version of that look. Many people did not & still don’t fully understand designers such as Issey Miyake, but he’s still making money. Think Sandhya is so creative. Love this girl.

Sean: What started out as a good design concept ended up as a sad looking outfit. Just sad, and very drab. I also don’t want this sort of future.

Yet another runways show is done. This weeks challenge winner was Sandhya & Angela was out. Find it very sad that so many of the designers are being very ugly towards Sandhya. Seen much worse designs on project runway. I did enjoy this weeks episode, and thanks for visiting my blog. Stay blessed my friends.

Boscia’s Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel & Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask review.

Over the past three weeks I have been using Boscia’s Tsubak Cleaning Oil-Gel & Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask nightly. In the past have used Boscia’s products & wanted to try some of their new products. Let me just say I did pay for these products with my own money, and these are my thoughts.

The Tsubaki line is fairly new addition to the Boscia product line. Now Tsubaki in Japan is a very popular flower & the oil is widely used in hair & skin care products. Was very happy to see Boscia using Tsubaki oil in this new product line. Please see the photo below of a Tsubaki flower.

Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel: To wash my face I like using a Clarisonic. My night time routine has me using Boscia Tsubaki Cleansing Oil-Gel. Make sure to slightly dampen your face & your Clarisonic. Add one pump of the cleanser & work in circular motions. Then you will want to rinse it all away. This cleanser gets your face nice & clean. This cleanser also leaves your skin feeling refreshed & it doesn’t strip your skin. Honestly a small amount of this cleanser goes a long way. I bought my cleanser from Sephora for 28.00$ for a 5oz bottle.

The second step in my nightly routine is the Boscia Tsubaki Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask. This product is a way to give deep hydration & protection to your skin. After washing my skin & patting it dry it’s time to apply the sleeping mask. Work into dry skin in small circular motions This helps the product to absorb into the skin. When I wake up the next morning just rinse it off. My skin feels more hydrated & supple. In short my skin looks fresher. This product was 34.00$ for 2.8 oz. While it’s on the pricey side feel it’s worth the cost.

So far I am loving Boscia new Tsubaki products. Boscia also makes a Tsubaki Beauty Oil & a Tsubaki Oil-infused exfoliating powder, and those shall be my next purchases. Very happy so far!
If you have any questions about these products feel free to ask me by leaving a comment. Thanks so much for reading by blog post & have a blessed day….

Traveling this Autumn in Europe..

Most of you know that traveling is a great love of mine. I find that when you travel you force yourself to come out of your comfort zone, and that is a great thing. Think traveling does open up your mind to new ways of thinking & living.

This Autumn I will be traveling in Europe. Honestly I would like to travel in the Summer season, but prices are just to high during Summer. Yet another down side to traveling in Summer season are the crowds.

Most likely I shall start my trip off in Berlin, German. Luckily I have a friend in Berlin to hang out with & stay with. My friend Michael is a local so he knows all of the great places to eat & shop. Currently I am still in process of planning my trip, and not sure where else I shall visit.

Whilst in Berlin there are some must see sites for any & all tourist & here are just few that I plan to visit.

Brandenburg Gate: The Brandenburg Gate is in Berlin’s city center. It was a former city gate it was built as a sign of peace. Think many if not all tourist make a visit to this historical spot.

Berlin Cathedral: The Berlin Cathedral known also as, “Berliner Dom” is yet another must visit place. Now admission to the, “Berliner Dom” is 7 euros & that is about 9$. I would recommend the audio guide which is 3 euros. I say get the most out of your trip & get the audio guide.

Those are just two places I plan to visit. If you have any must see places to visit…please leave a comment to this blog post. Now I will be investing money in a Berlin pass. The Berlin Pass is a travel card like the London or Paris pass. Price is 71.10 euro for a 2 day or 83.70 euro for a 3 day pass. This pass gives you admission to Berlin’s top attractions. If you wish here is a link to get one for yourself.

Honestly I wish had a travel companion. Being on a long flight or train rides alone sucks. Having said that you can see, and do what you wish on your own time. Plus no dealing with any hard to please people.

Still I am not sure where else shall be traveling. Sweden is another place I would love to visit, but understand it’s very expensive in Sweden. I would love to meet some locals to hang out with in Sweden.

What I would like to know is what are your travel plans? Do you travel alone what are the positives & negatives for you? If you travel with friends or family what positive or negative aspects of that sort of travel. I would also love to hear some of your travel stories or experiences.

Stay blessed…
